While on an official visit to Rome after touring several European capitals, the extremely charming Princess Ann, a princess from a European kingdom, finds it increasingly difficult to endure the strictures of protocol and the state duties to which she is subjected on a daily basis.

After another long and tiring audience, Ann refuses the sleeping pills offered by her companion, Countess Vereberg, and instead decides to slip out of the palace during the evening, disguised in plain clothes, to explore the city. Meanwhile, the dashing American journalist Joe Bradley loses almost all his money in a poker game with friends and realises he urgently needs an exclusive story to make some money.

Throughout June, Tuškanac Visiting presents a selection of films featuring costume designs by Edith Head, one of the most influential costume designers in cinema history. Over a career spanning more than fifty years, she collaborated with some of the twentieth century’s biggest film stars, including Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Elizabeth Taylor and Bette Davis, creating distinctive fashion and visual identities for nearly 500 film productions. Head won a record eight Oscars for costume design, and received a total of thirty-five nominations, making her the most-nominated woman in the history of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
