The festival brings together researchers, artists, journalists, activists and representatives of civil society with the aim of opening up a space for dialogue on the legacy of the 1990s, the challenges of confronting the past and the importance of preserving memory in contemporary society.
Pavilion 22
Nenad Puhovski, Factum, 2002, 52 min
The film reveals the unknown and dark side of the events that took place in the Zagreb Fair compound in autumn 1991, when the war started. Originally converted into a mobilization center for reserve police units, the pavilion soon became a transit prison camp for all suspects, mostly ethnic Serbs. Many of them were taken to Pakračka Poljana and executed there by the so-called Merčep unit.
